Our Christmas Season So Far

I came up with a “25 Days of Christmas” for Ryan and me to do starting a little early and ending the day before we leave for our Christmas vacation with our parents.  Some of the daily activities are no big deal, but the point is that we’ll at least do something little and fun each day.

(Speaking of something little and fun.)

On Monday, we decorated our tree and living room.

On Tuesday, we watched “Elf,” and on Wednesday we drank peppermint hot cocoa.  On Thursday, we watched the corny old claymation movie “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town.”  I hadn’t realized that Ryan had never seen it!  It was fun to introduce him to it.  On Friday night, we met up with some friends for Starbucks holiday drinks – my choice was a peppermint mocha, as always!

Yesterday, a friend and I went to the Porter Flea, which is an oh-my-gosh amazing art market held in Marathon Village downtown.  I snagged some Christmas presents and a couple of new prints for our home.

Then we came home and had a red velvet cheesecake I’d made!

Today, Ryan and I are heading out to do some more Christmas shopping and begin wrapping our gifts.  I’m so excited!  If we can’t have Christmasy weather here in the South, at least we can do our part to get ourselves into a festive spirit for this exciting time of year.

Of course, we are blessed to know and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas – the best news of all.

Your apartment is so warm and cozy with Christmas cheer. The rabbit candleholder is just ever so little …. Sinister… Maybe?
